Links to guided Mindfulness and Meditation Practices
These guided meditations and mindfulness links aren’t mine, but they’ve played a meaningful role in my growth as a creative and coach. Explore offerings from Calm, Jeff Warren, and more to support your clarity, grounding, and creative momentum.
“Welcome to the Party” by Jeff Warren - I can’t tell you how many times I’ve listened to this free guided meditation by Jeff Warren. When I first started practicing mindfulness I thought because of the constant thoughts and feelings that would come to my mind, I was failing at the practice. This specific meditation addresses those thoughts and building an acceptance that these thoughts will come, with every shift back into the present we build our ability to sit through the meditation with gratitude and strengthen our focus on our home base.
“Ten Good Breaths” by Jeff Warren - Surprise! I’m referencing Jeff again. He’s been such an impact on my own self care. This is a very quick breathing exercise. Great for in between recording sessions, that moment of anxiety before a performance, or for when your awareness of a chaotic day has kicked in. Jeff walks you through a breathing practice to calm the nervous system and bring clarity to the mind.
The Calm App - While you’ve probably heard of it, have you really utilized it in your daily life? This is a pay for app but keep an eye out for discounts on annual subscriptions. From soundscapes to assist with sleep and focus to guided meditations from Jeff Warren and many other contributors it’s an incredible tool packaged into your smart phone.
I’m always exploring new podcasts, books, and meditations to support my own growth. As I discover more helpful — especially free — resources, I’ll keep adding them here for you to enjoy as well.
